Full day visit
description:
Grand
Prize is an all expense paid*, full day visit from Mike Thaler, a $2000
value.
*Because
Mike doesn’t drive while on tour, he will need a ride to and from the
event, and to and from the airport. Airfare, lodging and the full day
program are covered in the Grand Prize.

Afternoon book signing can
accommodate a maximum of 200 books. Books cannot be personalized in the
time available. A color bookplate is available online as a substitute for
individual signing.
Possible
afternoon activities (Please allow a 15-minute break between activities):
- Read to the P.M.
Kindergarten class (15 minutes).
- Visit special education
class and create a personal drawing for each student.
- Group session with 10
members selected from each grade (reading contest winners, etc.). Mike
signs their books and holds a Q&A session.
- Q&A session for each
grade (approximately 15-20 minutes per grade, held in
gymnasium/cafeteria).
- Sign student books
(recommended for a maximum of 200 books, one per student.)
Assembly
Descriptions
K-2 Assembly: A highly
interactive motivational assembly featuring Mike reading, cartooning,
and teaching a very simple riddle making method called Magic Letter Riddles
that enables K-2 students to create their own riddle books in the
classroom. This presentation works with any size audience.
Length of assembly 45 minutes.
3-6 Upper Grade Assembly
A highly interactive motivational assembly presentation
featuring Mike reading, cartooning, and teaching an advanced riddle making
method that enables the students and teachers to go back to the classroom
and create their own riddle books. This presentation works with any
size audience. Length of assembly 45 minutes.

First
runner up:
Mike
will dedicate one of the upcoming Tales from the Back Pew books to the
winner or winning classroom. Mike will determine which book to dedicate and
the dedication wording.
Second
runner up:
A “set
of Tales from the Back Pew books” includes one of each of the books in
print at the time of the drawing. Mike will autograph each book.
FAQ:
Q: How
many times can I enter?
A: Each
individual can enter only once. But,
an individual can enter, and his/her classroom can enter.
Q: Do I
need to buy the books?
A: NO!
Ask your school or public librarian which books they carry.
